Many business owners (and even some colleagues) believe that technology is a magic wand that solves everything with a click. They buy software, install apps, but don’t understand how they work, what they’re really for, or how to integrate them into their processes.
Digital illiteracy continues to be a REAL problem, especially in the management of many SMEs. It’s not about being a programmer, but about understanding the basics, knowing what to ask, what to demand, and how to use the tools to be more productive and efficient.
Stop looking for the “app for everything.” Identify which processes need improvement, look for specific tools (many are free or low-cost to start with), train your team (or learn yourself!), and measure the results.
Technology is a powerful tool when you know how to use it. Otherwise, it’s just another expense.
